On the afternoon of March 18th, the 2021 Postgraduate Academic Lectures were carried out by Foreign Language Institute at classroom 401, Lixue Building. This series of lectures will be held from 14:00 to 15:30 on every Thursday from March 18 to May 13, for helping graduate students and undergraduates at all levels to optimize their knowledge structure and achieve their learning goals.
This academic lecture was arranged by the teacher -Mrs. Chang Li of the Institute Discipline Office. Except for improving students’ knowledge structure, this activity with clear purpose and a good source of content of different fields, is meant to make the school a space with more diversification and stronger academic atmosphere.[Photos by Zhai Ziyu]
Academic lectures, scheduled on eight afternoons in every week, are mainly given by 24 graduate students of class 2019 with 24 topics which related to translation theory and practice from the perspectives of literary translation, medical translation, subtitle translation, cultural translation and so on. All the lecturers of students actively searched relevant materials, carefully prepared the lecture contents, and expressed their views fluently, through which can form a good atmosphere for academic communication. This activity invites the MTI of class 2020 and the English majors of class 2017 to have academic conversations over the topics.
